Introduction
Lancaster Cohousing’s project at Halton will be a cutting edge example of sustainable design, The project will be built on ecological values in partnership with our architects, Ecoarc. All our homes will be built to the highly insulated PassivHaus standard.
Sustainable transport will be enabled by a community car share scheme, bike friendly facilities and easy access to public transport.
The site includes a mill building that is being renovated to provide a mixture of serviced workshops, offices and studios.
We have planning permission and work on site has begun.
There are two developments in the project:
Forge Bank – 35 eco homes within the cohousing scheme
Heron Bank – 6 eco homes outside the cohousing scheme
