An early 20th century property, this has been a much loved family home which, in the 50s, had been brought up to then modern standards, with central heating installed in the 70s. The style and decoration is of its time. The joy has always been in space in which the house sits, with a nice little garden out front, driveway to the garage/workshop at the side, back porch leading to ‘courtyard’ garden area. Under here there is a water tank, currently condition unknown. Next is a brick shed/wooden shed, lawn, large flower garden, greenhouse and extensive length of bare garden (which has been covered in weed suppressant material for some years), edged by a wonderful old hedge, the other side of which is parish allotment.
Many of the local dwellings are still the original village cottages and the area is located on the outskirts of Milton Keynes close to the Buckinghamshire countryside but with easy access to the city centre.
I have the vision of what I would have done to recreate a home with environmentally friendly and eco credentials, however I am unable to do this myself. This is a great start for those aspiring to a self-sustaining and own rebuild lifestyle.
There is no chain involved.
*Gas : £600 Electricity : £380 – approx based on no loft insulation
